Pricing and Reservations
Amazons are seasonal breeders. Even though we are in the dead of the winter in January and February, they know that the days are getting longer and Spring is coming. Eggs are normally laid in March and hatch in April. Weaning of the babies (eating on their own) takes anywhere from 14-16 weeks which means babies are ready for new homes in late July early August. We normally have 3-4 babies a year.
A baby Double Yellow Headed Amazon is $1400 CND, tax included and comes with a health guarantee and DNA sex certificate. We supply digital pictures of their progress via e-mail and the internet and include a nail trimming and wing clipping prior to being shipped.
Shipping cost and crating are not included. We use Air Canada and WestJet. We frequently have people come to our home from nearby (and not so nearby) cities as well.
Holding a baby or reserving an egg requires a $200 non-refundable deposit. We normally receive deposits in winter/spring for summer babies. We cannot guarantee the sex of the bird. Bird selection goes on a 1st come, 1st serve basis (1st deposit get 1st choice, 2nd deposit 2nd choice, etc.)
Full payment of $1400 is required to be received prior to release or shipping of the baby. For that reason, checks are not accepted for the final payment.
Payments can be made by cash, certified check, money order, E-mail Money Transfer or Paypal - Send Money. We do not accept credit cards and will not pay for fees charged by Paypal if you fund the money transfer by credit card (you must absorb the fees).
Although our breeders are very reliable, Mother Nature is unpredictable. In the event that a baby is not available, your deposit will be refunded or held as a reservation for the next clutch per your instructions.
